How to get a classic fall look!

Hey y’all I’m so happy that fall is finally here and the weather is finally getting cooler! This Texas heat is seriously not a joke. It’s now the perfect time to rock a deep burgundy lip and bust out our cozy sweaters! When I think of fall, I immediately picture myself wearing a dark lip and similar nail color. I want to share with you all some of my current beauty products that work well with the season!

A classic look is a burgundy lip. When I rock this, I focus all the attention on the lip color and keep everything else pretty minimal. I keep my face makeup looking fresh, with a rosy colored blush, and light eye makeup. The lids are pretty neutral with a warm brown on the crease to give some dimension. You can’t forget a winged eyeliner, it’s a perfect combination with the lip. These lip colors pictured are my all time favorite lipsticks for fall.

The first two are a deep burgundy, and I suggest keeping the rest of your face a little lighter. The middle color is also in the same family but with a little more red. The first two colors are  very similar and the formula is just the same! The only difference is the price range. The Revlon.,(which is honestly a perfect dupe) is about $5 and the Lorac., is $17.  If you’re not into the intense lip color that’s okay because you can never go wrong with a classic nude lip. Also a mauve lip is one of the simplest colors to wear because it goes with every look you want to achieve. By not wearing a dark lip you can focus all the attention on your eyes and wear warm shadows to make your eyes sparkle.

Here are the shades with flash photography. You can see that the first two are very similar. The middle one is toned down and the last two are neutral.

Don’t forget to top off your lip stick with a lip gloss! It is essential for me to put a lip gloss on top because it finishes off the look. The first two glosses are within the same family of burgundy that go well with any of the first three lipsticks. The last two are neutral and go perfectly with the mauve and nude shades.

So now that we’ve covered the lips, the face products are what tie the look together. With the dark lips, I like to wear a rosy blush because I don’t want both colors to clash. With the swatch below you can see that the Elizabeth Mott isn’t too intense and it has some shimmer too it. The last color is the Wet n Wild color (which is very affordable!) is more pigmented and it is matte. It is the perfect amount of color and I would pair this with the lighter lip colors on days when you’re feeling a natural look.

Highlighter has been all the rage and you can’t forget this step! The first one pictured down below (NYX) is in a liquid form and it’s the perfect golden shimmer. The second one (the balm) is the classic champagne color.
